To import products using the CSV product import, follow these steps:

  1. Download the CSV feed from WeDropship, which can be found at the bottom of your WeDropship account information.
  2. Download the relevant platform's sample product CSV.
  3. Map Shopify product fields in its template with the CSV content to ensure that all the necessary information is included.
  4. Before uploading the products, carefully review the pricing and ensure that all the details are correct.
  5. By following these steps, you can quickly and efficiently import your products into your ecommerce store using the CSV product import feature.

These are the detailed steps on how to import products using a csv file:


Shopify

To make changes to your products using a CSV file, you must first export your products from your ecommerce platform. Once you have your product data in a CSV file, you can easily make changes to it using a spreadsheet program like Google Sheets. After you have made your desired changes, simply import your updated CSV file back into the Shopify admin.

Steps

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Products.
  2. Click Import.
  3. Click Add file, and then select the CSV file that contains the product data that you want to import into your store. 
  4. Optional: If you want to publish new products only to your online store instead of to all of your sales channels, then deselect Publish new products to all sales channels.
  5. Optional: To change the URLs by overwriting the values for the existing handles, select Overwrite any current products that have the same handle. Existing values will be used for any missing columns.
  6. Click Upload and continue.
  7. Review all the details of the import to ensure that everything is correct, then proceed by clicking on the "Import products" button.

After successfully uploading your CSV file, Shopify will send you a confirmation email to the email address associated with your Shopify store. This email will typically include information about the status of the import and any errors or issues that may have arisen during the process.
